Photographs

PHOTOGRAPHY is one of my favorite hobbies. I am not a serious and professional photographer though.  I don't even own a DSLR camera.  I only shoot on a smartphone camera and sometimes on an 'aim and shoot' camera. I've had an experience on DSLR camera way back when the cameras are not yet digital. I used to shoot on an OLYMPUS OM-10.

Yes, I edit my photos.

I think there is nothing wrong using an app or software to EDIT your photos.  For me, there is no such thing as an 'original capture'.  I think COMPOSITION is the main criteria for judging a photo (it was during the old days).

I think as soon as we use our cameras, we are already editing in a sense.  As soon as we aim, change focus, change the shutter speed, change exposure compensation, change filters, zoom, add flash or no flash, etc, we are EDITING.  The only difference is, in an app or photo editing software, we can preview the results right away, immediately. But on taking photos, we preview the 'future' results in our mind.  But still,  all the steps we do to capture using our cameras, digital or not is EDITING.

The Day I Rode The MRT in Kaohsiung!

Today, I've decided to go out and find the shop that sells a Chromebook.  Prior to my visit here in Kaohsiung, I've found a local shop called Ai Tec on the internet. Today, I want to look at that shop. The people at the shop sent me messages on how to get there. They even sent me a map and suggested me to take the MRT and get off at the Formosa Boulevard station.  From there, I can walk.

Naomi and Ace told me that there's always a free shuttle bus from the hospital to the MRT. I learned that the shuttle bus is always parked at the children's hospital. I get in on the shuttle bus for the 9:30 scheduled trip. It was a short 15 to 20 minutes ride to Dadong Station.

The MRT is surprisingly almost empty. In Bangkok at this time, MRT is crowded.

COLORFUL 'DOME OF LIGHT'

When I reached the Formosa Boulevard Station, I have to get off at Exit 10. Then, I saw it, the most colorful and beautiful sight! It is called 'The Dome Of Light'.

I finally found Ai Tec shop and the staff are very accommodating.  When I saw the Samsung Chromebook 3, I immediately liked it.  Eventually, I bought it and the owner gave me a reasonable discount.  I've been looking for a Chromebook. Nobody sells them in Thailand and Vietnam.

I get on the MRT on going back to the hospital.  I get off at Dadong Station, and from there took a bus number 16 and get off exactly at the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, in front of the Family Mart.

'Little Warrior'

Finally, I'm with our 'Little Warrior'. Bless him.
He is improving very fast. Thank you, Lord,
for continuously making him stronger every day.
Thank you also for Ace & Omi.

Naomi . . . a wonderful mother!

I woke up early today. Last night's flight was ok. I arrived at the airport around 11:50 pm, got a taxi that took me to Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. Saw my son in law Ace and he took me to my room.

This morning after taking some photos, I waited for Omi at the lobby of the children's hospital in Chang Gung Memorial.

I saw her and I suddenly felt pity for her. She lost some weights. But she gave me her best smile, as usual, cracking some jokes on the way to the dorm.

I love you Oms

Chang Gung Memorial Hospital

Finally, found my way out of the dorm. Taking photos while drinking coffee from Family Mart, not bad by the way. I'm excited to see Omi, Ace, and of course Zeke!

Chang Gung Memorial Hospital is a very huge establishment.

Happy to be here. Zeke Lolo is here now excited to see you.

A Beautiful day at Kaohsiung!

Woke up early though slept late. Not get used to sleeping without Nina by my side.  I'm also really excited to see Ace, Omi, and Zeke.

Beautiful view of the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital dorm.

Actually, I'm trying to find out how to get out of this building.  I'm totally lost, hahahaha!
I can't even remember the way!

First Timer In Kaohsiung!

I bought a data SIM card before going out of the Kaohsiung Airport. I called up a taxi that will bring me to the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital.  It was a short trip, around 30 minutes, but the fare is very expensive compared to taxis in  Bangkok.

Huamum Night Market

It's always fun to go to Huamum night market. I and Nina's one of the favorite spots when we visit Bangkok. There are 2 reasons why you don't want to miss this night market.  First, there are many things to buy and the prices are reasonably cheap. Nina bought me some T-shirts for everyday wear. The quality is good and for 150 baht a piece (4.5 USD), it is really a bargain.

Second, the food. A lot of restaurants around the night market and you can find almost anything of what you are craving for. There is a seafood restaurant called 'The station of shells' which is very popular among locals not only because of the delicious seafood, but also the weirdness (in a good way) of the place.  The owners are friends who decided to make their restaurant unique by dressing up like women, dancing, singing, and moaning while serving the guests.  A must see if you are in Bangkok.

Yes I am a Christian . . . not that one, the other one!

What does it mean to be a Christian? Were you born a Christian or a ‘Born Again’ Christian? Have you realized that Christianity is like a vi...
